DealMaker supports three primary payment methods. Here's how they compare so you can choose what works best for you.
ACH (Bank Transfer)
Speed: 1–5 business days
Fees to investor: None from DealMaker
Who can use it: U.S. bank accounts only
Reversible: Yes — ACH payments can be returned in certain circumstances
Best for: Most U.S. investors. Free, reliable, no card required.
Wire Transfer
Speed: Same business day (domestic); 1–2 business days (international)
Fees to investor: Your bank may charge a wire fee ($25–$50 domestic; more for international)
Who can use it: U.S. and international investors
Reversible: No — wires are generally irreversible once sent
Best for: Large investment amounts, international investors, or time-sensitive closings.
Credit Card
Speed: Immediate to 1 business day
Fees to investor: None from DealMaker. Your card may charge a foreign transaction fee if the deal currency differs from your card's currency.
Who can use it: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover (Amex not accepted)
Reversible: Technically via chargeback — but this is not a valid way to cancel an investment. See: What Happens If I File a Chargeback?
Best for: Speed and convenience.
Not all methods are available on every offering. The options available to you will appear on your payment page during checkout.
