To complete a share transfer, please proceed through the following steps:
- On your DealMaker dashboard scroll down to the ‘My Companies’ section, and select the company.
- A new window will open to your DealMaker Engage portal. Click the ‘Shareholder Actions’ tab
- Here you will see the various shareholder action options currently available for your use. Keep in mind that any changes made to your shareholdings in one company will not affect shareholdings in other companies.
- Please click the "Share Transfer" button
- Please fill in your name and the number of shares you are transferring
- Please click on the "Share Transfer Letter" to open up a blank copy of a form you must fill out (you may also find a copy of this form linked here).
- In the event of the shareholder's demise, kindly provide the following along with the complete share transfer request form
- Death Certificate: A copy of the official death certificate.
- Power of Attorney: Documentation granting the executor of the estate the authority to manage the deceased's assets, including signing necessary paperwork.
- Once you have filled in the form please upload it in the "Document" section as seen in the screenshot above.
- Please click "Submit Request" to complete your request.
- You may hear from the DealMaker Shareholder Services team shortly after submission to confirm the request has been processed.
Your current book-entry statement symbolizing your shareholdings will be removed since these shares have now been transferred. A new book-entry statement may be printed out for you upon completion of the request.
The shareholder receiving the transferred shares will have a DealMaker account created on their behalf with the email provided on the form. The new shareholder will have a book-entry statement uploaded on their account which can be accessed and downloaded at their convenience.
